Rice County Commissioners Vote to Require Masks

On Monday, July 20, 2020 the Rice County Commissioners voted by a 2-1 margin to require face masks to be worn in Rice County when social distancing of at least 6 feet is not possible, and indoors in public, with violations subject to a fine up to $2,500, to take effect at 12:01 a.m. on July 21, 2020. Commissioner McCloud voted NO. A formal order is being prepared.

As of Tuesday, July 21, 2020 the Rice County Commissioners repealed their previous vote to require face masks to be worn in Rice County.
